ATLANTIC
Rolling green-white foamy nation
Slapping the blue-green nation
Lying contingent;
with a golden raft
Sailing East to West;
Rolling white foamy green cosmos
With finny luminous satellites
At extreme fathoms
Smooth with slimy silt,
Plankton people, minute, dominant, and
Supreme as the cattle and wheat
of ictomological giants wading through
Sargasso weeds;
Controller of life;
Equalizer of all nations;
Undulate in green foamy white rhythm;
Massage the blue-green nation;
Massage the brown black gray nation
Lying heavy with leafy green;
Work the tide of near-nuclear energy
Past the clams in coarse muddy sand;
Ever flowing away
But to return
